Basement Framing

     April 15, 2015 0 Comments

Now that the basement slab has had time to set, we’re ready for the framing! We hired Kyle from Black Pearl Construction to frame the basement. Kyle has years of experience with framing. He has framed many houses and projects, and was also a framing inspector with his previous job. He helped us out with the framing inspection a few months ago.

In just a day’s time, Kyle has made some great progress. He frames the walls on the ground, and then lifts them into place.

We’re excited to see the end product. We were not going to finish the basement initially, but it kind of just happened. Framing turned into drywalling, which turned into painting, flooring, lighting, media centre… you get the idea. The basement plan escalated and it will now be a finished product. The basement layout is pretty nice too! There will be a lot of great entertainment space down there.

Back on the main floor, Lane from Spraywest came by to do a final inspection of the spray foam insulation job. He wanted to make sure the quality was up to his standards and that the job was well done.

All in all, the job got an A+ and the boss’s stamp of approval.

Working with companies that truly care about their product and end results is important. Care and attention to detail sets a high quality job apart from one that isn’t so great.
