Exterior Progress

     April 13, 2015 0 Comments

Things are moving along on the outside of the house! Stucco Industries continued to work on the exterior of the house and now have the house insulated with the white rigid insulation. This product acts as a base for the stucco, which we hope will be started shortly as long as the weather cooperates. It’s so nice to see the exterior of the house develop.

The lower half of the house where you see Typar paper will be a stack stone product from Timberstone Regina. We wanted to dress the side of the house up a bit since it’s exposed to the street. The stone will also cover the arch on the deck and the column.

In other news, we’re happy to say WE HAVE A BASEMENT FLOOR!

Bouss Construction and his crew had the concrete delivered and by the end of the day, we had a flat solid surface. The concrete was pumped through a window and the crew moved it around the basement, making sure it was evenly distributed and smooth. The heat was on high to help the concrete cure and near the end it was buffed. Great work guys!

The above photo will be the future bathroom, laundry area and mini bar.

Why, hello future basement bedroom with all the beautiful natural light.

Lastly, Spraywest was back to work finishing up the spray foam insulation on the main floor.

The windows are all taped off so that any excess spray (which, as you can see, there’s a bit) does not stick to the windows and is easily removed.

All in all, it’s been a busy week at the house! Some great progress has been made and we’re just happy to be ticking things off the big to-do list.
