Please Hold (while we make up our minds!)
Typically, someone already owns a property when they begin planning but we went about it the opposite way. When we started this project, we thought we’d be signing the papers on a property in the near future but that plan has taken its sweet time. We didn’t hesitate to begin working with KRN Residential Design because we know that designing a custom home is also time consuming and we wanted to get a head start on it. We were confident that we would buy a property that would fit the floor plan, meaning the property had to be at least 40 feet wide. However, now that we’re considering a huge lot in the country, the plans would change significantly and it’s not fair to Kelly and his team to have to redo the entire design. The changes would hurt our budget too.
Therefore, we’ve decided to put our work with KRN Residential Design on hold until we make up our minds regarding a property. We’re grateful that Kelly and his team are flexible and accommodating of our indecisiveness. We promise we will make up our minds soon and get back on track.
In the meantime, we are talking to everyone we know about the areas we are considering to get opinions and recommendations. We are even meeting with a realtor, Mike Beatch, to give us his professional opinion on our property options. Stay tuned, we’ll fill you in on that conversation too. It might come down to the flip of a coin.
